The Charlotte BIGGBY COFFEE store helps fundraise

EAST LANSING, Mich. Aug. 26, 2013 – The Charlotte BIGGBY is again helping fundraise for the Siren/Eaton Shelter in Eaton County. Gail Atkins, store owner, will be giving out coupons at the Davis Auto Mart on Sept. 7, 2013.

The Charlotte BIGGBY will donate one dollar to the shelter for each Grande and Super specialty beverage purchased between Sept. 9, 2013 and Sept. 12, 2013.

The Siren/Eaton Shelter promotes the elimination of domestic violence and homelessness by providing temporary housing, support, advocacy, education and information to the community. The shelter offers a 24 hour violence crisis line and provides food, clothing, furniture and household items to residents and non-residents.

“Fundraising is a great way to give back to the community and it’s important to BIGGBY. I always enjoy seeing people getting involved and helping out others. We have done many fundraisers in the past and will continue to give back to others,” said Atkins.

BIGGBY COFFEE, as a company, has always believed in “Return on Involvement” since the original store opened its doors in 1995. Bob Fish, CEO and Co-Founder of BIGGBY, believed in community involvement so much, it is a core value for the company.

About BIGGBY COFFEE®

East Lansing, Mich.-based BIGGBY® COFFEE was started with a single store on March 15, 1995. One year later, and on the cusp of opening a second location, Bob Fish and his business partner Michael McFall, on a handshake and $3,000, decided to franchise the concept. BIGGBY COFFEE’s core values of B happy, have fun, make friends, love people and drink great coffee help coffee-lovers and the coffee-curious alike benefit from a less pretentious and fun approach to the standard gourmet café paradigm. Besides connoisseur-worthy drinks with pronounceable names like Teddy Bear and Caramel Marvel, BIGGBY baristas provide a unique experience focused on brightening their customer’s day. The “Big ‘B’” on the orange background caught on, and today BIGGBY COFFEE has 188 cafes open or under contract across nine states including: Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, South Carolina, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Florida and Texas.
