Re: Notification of Disclosure

Dear BIGGBY Fanatic, We are writing to inform of a recent security incident that may have resulted in the disclosure of personal information. This personal information may have been provided when registering your BIGGBY Card or provided in, or in connection with, your application for employment.

At this time, we are not aware of any misuse of this information. We take the security of information in our control seriously, and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. Please note that the information accessed was information that was ONLY provided by customers via the biggby.com website. Less than 20% of our customer data was accessed. Please note that information accessed had nothing to do with our cash registers or point of sale systems in our stores.

Last week we learned from our web developer and hosting company Traction that a criminal forced their way into our systems and accessed BIGGBY customer info from our customer database. Unfortunately, the compromised data may have included your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, and information regarding your employment history. The intruder(s) did not gain access to financial information or sensitive data such as credit card information, bank account numbers, Social Security numbers, or driver’s license numbers.

Traction has reported this incident to law enforcement authorities, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Please know that we have also taken additional security measures to prevent this type of event from occurring in the future.

Again, we value the privacy and security of your information and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. Please contact us at feedback@biggby.com or 517-482-8145 if you have questions about this event.

Sincerely,

Nicole Vilminot
