Taste of Gaylord deadline Friday

GAYLORD — Tickets are on sale for the Gaylord/Otsego County Chamber of Commerce’s 2008 Taste of Gaylord.

 

The Wednesday, March 19 event at the Otsego Club Resort will carry the theme “A Fiesta!” and feature culinary delights from 18 area restaurants. The festivities will be 6-9 p.m.
Organizers say the Otsego Club will be transformed into a “fiesta” scene, offering food, entertainment and fellowship. Restaurants will feature progressive tasting of entrées, hors d’oeuvres, and desserts. Among the participants: Alpine Chocolat Haus, Alpine Oven, Applebee’s

 

Neighborhood Grill & Bar, Arlene’s Diner, Biggby Coffee, BJ’s Restaurant and Catering, Bennethum’s Northern Inn, Big Buck Brewery & Steakhouse, Gobbler’s Restaurant, Jac’s Place at Marsh Ridge, Jan’s Northside Deli, LaSenorita Mexican Restaurant, Michaywé Inn the Woods, Osprey Grille at Wilderness Valley, Otsego Club & Resort, Ponderosa Steakhouse, Treetops Resort and the Gaylord High School Advanced Culinary Arts Class.

 

Reservations are required for this typically sold-out event. Tickets are $20 and are available by calling the Chamber at 732-6333 by Friday, March 14.

 

Proceeds from the event fund a $1,000 scholarship annually for a local student studying culinary arts or hospitality management.
